Археолог-любитель и школьник обследовали с помощью металлоискателя поле у деревни Шапроде на немецком острове Рюген и обнаружили серебряную монету. О находке известили археологов, и в минувшие выходные на поле был обнаружен целый клад серебра, относящийся ко второй половине Х века, эпохе правления датского короля Харальда Синезубого. Клад включал в себя около 600 предметов - монеты, ювелирные изделия (кольца, шейные украшения) и амулет молот Тора. По заключению археологов из департамента культуры земли Мекленбург-Передняя Померания, около сотни монет относятся к чекану датского короля Харальда Синезубого. Напомним, что на Рюгене и ранее делали находки, связанные с викингами - клад Хиддензее, сожжение в ладье в кургане возле города Ральсвика и т. д.
